Athyrium niponicum f. metallicum (Japanese Painted Fern)

Very popular due to its attractive blue, green, maroon and silver foliage that changes as the season progresses.

Grows best in a damp, but not water logged ground, in a sheltered position. Tidy old foliage as required.

Plant in partial to full shade in damp or boggy soil that won't dry out.
