Clematis viticella 'Polish Spirit'

'Polish Spirit' is a medium-sized deciduous climber with pinnate leaves. Single open flowers to 9cm in width have four or five deep violet sepals with a lighter bar along the midrib with greenish-white and purplish stamens. Flowers from mid-summer to late autumn.

Clematis plants can be either deciduous or evergreen shrubs, herbaceous perennials, or climbers that use twining leaf stalks. Many varieties also produce striking flowers, while some feature fluffy seedheads in autumn.

To ensure the happiness of this plant, it is best to plant it in a location where its roots will remain cool and moist, ideally with some shade provided by lower-growing species. This plant prefers full sun and a well-drained soil.
