Tillandsia baileyi, often called the Reflexed Air Plant, is a compact evergreen epiphyte prized for its elegance and rare colouring. It forms a small rosette measuring about 5 to 8 centimetres in both height and width. The leaves are narrow, silver-green, and gently arching, with a smooth, velvety surface created by fine hairs that reflect light. When in bloom, the plant produces a striking cherry-red spike that stands out vividly against the silvery foliage. The bright hue and relatively large flower structure make this species a distinctive addition to any air plant collection. Each plant typically anchors itself with a single, sturdy root that provides stability on its mount.
