Allium karataviense (Kara Tau Garlic) Bulbs

The Allium karataviense, also known as the Turkistan Onion or Ornamental Onion, is a unique allium with a very short flower spike of around 20cm supporting a large ball-shaped flower head covered in dusky pink flowers. The Ornamental Onion should be planted late in the year from September to December for best results. The plant will then bloom in early summer starting in May.

The Allium karataviense does best when planted about 10cm deep in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny area of the garden.
