Allium 'Universe' Bulbs

The Allium 'Universe' is an enchanting allium with huge heads that can reach up to 18cm in diameter. The Universe features stunning umbels of long-stemmed, deep-purple flowers. This plant is an autumn bulb and such does best when planted late in the year from September to December, the plant will produce its enormous blooms throughout summer.

The Allium 'Universe' does best when planted about 10cm deep in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny area of the garden. Taller alliums like this one can also benefit from shelter on one side to help prevent the tall flower spikes from being blown over.
