Haworthiopsis limifolia, often called the Fairy Washboard, is a striking succulent admired for its sculptural symmetry and distinctive texture. It forms a spiralling rosette of stiff, triangular leaves arranged in a compact, geometric pattern. Each leaf is dark green to deep olive in colour and marked with raised, irregular ridges that give the plant its unique, ribbed appearance. The surface texture is rough yet refined, creating a visual rhythm that makes this species stand out among small succulents. In summer, slender flower stalks rise up to 40 centimetres tall, carrying tubular green and white flowers that contrast gracefully with the bold foliage.
