The Tulip 'Purple Purissima' bulbs produce very large, single, bowl-shaped light purple blooms.
The Purple Purissima flowers are a Division 13 tulip, characterised by having large, single, bowl-shaped flowers which bloom in mid spring. It is a reliable perennial and is often referred to as an 'Emperor' tulip.
The Purple Purissima Tulip flowers in March/April and will grow well in a wide variety of conditions, but will prefer fertile, well drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded location.
